You’ll find many answers to your questions about the location of our 5-star campsite in Brittany, useful information about your stay and your rental. You’ll also find information on booking and payment.
FAQ: general information
Situation
How far is it to downtown Concarneau?
There are several possibilities. We advise you to take the small ferry at Le Passage, which will take you directly to the Ville Close (smallest crossing in the world). The ferry is located 3 kilometers from the campsite. There is free parking. The small ferry is chargeable (1€ per ticket; 7€ for 10 tickets). It makes round trips all day long and there’s no need to book. Please note evening closing times.
You can also walk around the harbour. You’ll need to allow for 5 kilometers, and parking will be more difficult in high season. Parking spaces are not free in high season.
How far are the beaches from the campsite?
The campsite is located on the seafront. La Belle Etoile beach can be reached directly from the campsite, by crossing a small road with a pedestrian walkway. Numerous beaches and coves on the Cabellou peninsula are also within easy reach, allowing you to change and choose according to wind direction and tide.
Campsite information
When is Le Cabellou Plage campsite open in Concarneau?
It will be open from April 4 to September 14, 2025.
Are services open at all times?
The restaurant, grocery store, bakery and reception are open throughout the campsite’s opening hours. Supervised activities are organized during the spring and summer school vacations.
Are minors accepted?
Minors are not accepted unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
Are groups accepted?
Groups are not accepted, as this is a family campsite with the aim of keeping the night calm. Activities and services are not suitable for groups.
Is the campsite accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes, we have a “Cottage PMR Mobilité réduite – 2 chambres”.
All facilities are designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility (sanitary block, reception, grocery store, gently sloping pools, etc.).
My rental / my location
Do babies count as participants?
Yes, a baby counts as a participant. This is for insurance purposes. This means that 5 people cannot stay in a 4-person cottage.
What should I bring for the vacations?
Don’t forget to bring your own sheets and towels if you haven’t taken these options. Also remember to bring cleaning products if you haven’t taken the housekeeping option.
What time can I move into my pitch?
Campsites are available from 1 pm. Departures must be before 12 p.m.
Rentals are available from 5 pm. Departures must be before 10 am. We can arrange early check-in between 1 pm and 5 pm, or late check-out between 10 am and 12 pm, for a supplement of €50.
How big are the pitches?
Pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are around 100 m², including hedges. Cottages are between 100 and 130 m².
Are barbecues allowed?
Only charcoal barbecues are permitted. They can be hired from reception. Please wait at least 24 hours before disposing of ashes, which should be placed in a bag directly in the garbage cans at the campsite entrance. Under no circumstances should ashes be placed in the plants, under the accommodation or on the terrace.
Do you have Wifi on the campsite?
Yes, it’s available throughout the campsite. Access is subject to a charge. There is limited free access to the bar.
Are the cottages equipped with heating?
The Évasion and Confort+ ranges have a heater in the living room.
The Comfort, Premium and Prestige ranges are equipped with heating in the living room as well as in each bedroom.
Are the cottages equipped with TV?
Yes, all our rentals are equipped with TV with TNT as well as foreign channels.
Animals
Are pets allowed?
Yes, subject to certain conditions: they must not be of 1ʳᵉ or 2ᵈᵉ categories; they must be vaccinated (remember to bring the vaccination booklet, rabies vaccinations may be required for animals coming from abroad); they must be kept on a leash on the campsite; droppings must be picked up; they must not remain barking in the accommodation or on the pitch.
Are dogs allowed on the beach?
No, dogs are not allowed on the beach. However, they are welcome on the coastal path.
Blue Caraïbes aquatic area
What are the opening hours of the Blue Caraïbes aquatic center?
From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. non-stop.
When is Blue Caraïbe open?
The heated indoor swimming pool is open throughout the campsite’s opening period.
The heated outdoor pool and waterslides will be accessible from May 15, 2025 until the campsite closes.
Are the pools heated?
Yes, all pools are heated. The outdoor pool and slides are heated to around 26/28°C, depending on the weather. The indoor pool at around 30°C.
Which swimwear is accepted?
For reasons of hygiene, swimming shorts and long outfits are not permitted.
Boxer shorts and swimming trunks are compulsory. Bathing caps are not compulsory.
Are visitors allowed access?
Visitors are not allowed access to the aquatic area for insurance and safety reasons.
Do I have to pay to use the pool area?
No extra charge, access is included (except swimming lessons, aquaphobia…).
Booking and payment
When should I book my vacation?
The sooner the better, so you can choose the dates and model that suit you best.
How do I make a reservation?
Online, via our intuitive booking interface. This will ask you for all the information you need to avoid forgetting anything. Payment is secure and you can book the options you want directly.

When do I have to pay for my stay?
You have several options for payment:
– Full payment at the time of booking, to simplify the booking process, or :
– A deposit of 30% at the time of booking and the remainder of the balance at least one month before your arrival (the booking may be cancelled in the event of non-receipt of the balance after reminder by e-mail).
– It is possible to pay in instalments. In this case, the last payment must be made at least 30 days before your arrival.
– If you are due to arrive in less than a month, the full amount will be charged.
How do I pay for my stay?
– By Visa or Mastercard on our secure website or by telephone, quoting your “Customer reference” (5 digits) and the name with which you booked.
– By bank transfer, indicating your customer number (5 digits) and the name with which you reserved.

How can I be sure that my reservation has been confirmed?
Your reservation is valid only after validation by our reservation department.
For online bookings, you will receive a validation e-mail within 48 hours at the latest. Don’t forget to check your spam or call us if you haven’t received a reply.
For bookings made by post, you will receive confirmation by post once payment has been received.
What additional costs will I incur on arrival?
A deposit of 200€ is required for all rentals. This can be paid in advance by credit card via our partner Swikly, or by cheque on arrival (remember to have it ready in advance).
You will receive an email a few days before your arrival inviting you to deposit the deposit on the Swikly website. Simply click on the link and follow the instructions.
It will be returned to you after the departure inventory.
Otherwise, everything must have been paid for before your arrival. We don’t charge a booking fee, as the tourist tax has already been paid, as have the options, which must be taken at the time of booking. All activities are included (except those for which a charge is made, such as bike hire, water sports equipment, restaurant, bar…). We will also ask you for a separate deposit when you come to borrow play equipment (ball, rackets, board games, etc.).
Can we arrive on a day other than Saturday?
In low season, from April 4 to July 5 and from August 30 to September 14, 2025, arrival and departure days are free.
In high season, from July 5 to August 30, 2025, arrivals and departures are possible on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays for rentals. This allows you to arrive mid-week, avoiding the heavy weekend traffic, or to enjoy a 10- or 11-night stay by arriving on Wednesday and staying until Saturday of the following week.
For camping pitches, arrival and departure days are free in low season. In July and August, arrivals and departures are possible from Sunday to Friday. There are no Saturday arrivals in high season. As pitches fill up quickly, we advise you to book in advance whatever the period.
Is it possible to extend my stay?
Yes, subject to availability.
Can we leave earlier than planned?
Yes, it’s possible, but there’s no refund.
Do you accept ANCV vacation vouchers?
Camping Le Cabellou Plage in Concarneau allows you to use your ANCV vouchers to pay for all or part of your stay. To do this, we advise you to send your vacation vouchers to the campsite by registered post (with acknowledgement of receipt for added peace of mind) to Camping Le Cabellou Plage – 89 Avenue du Cabellou – 29900 Concarneau.
As soon as we receive them, we’ll let you know by e-mail that your payment has been registered.

Cancellation and insurance
Can we cancel our stay?
Yes, but the campsite only refunds what is stipulated in the general conditions of sale. We strongly advise you to take out cancellation insurance to cover your payments. We work with an insurance company that will examine your file after receipt of supporting documents. The cost is 4% of the total cost of your stay. Please note that cancellation insurance can only be taken out on the day of booking.
